Introduction

About Blood Money

Sometimes in life we make decisions that we honestly regret for the rest of our existence, and wish every passing day that we could take it all back and make everything right again. A simple mistake on our part can result in devastating consequences for someone else. The one thing that we should truly have control over throughout our life is our actions. If you cannot control the way you react to something then what are you in control of really? The worst consequence of a mistake on your part is the loss of a life of someone else. It is better to lose your own life through a mistake on your part than to have someone else lose his instead. It is something that haunts you for the rest of your life, if you have any bit of a conscience inside of you. While there is really no substitute for a loss of life, sometimes you are made to pay by law a certain amount of money known as blood money for the person that lost his life because of you. If you think about it, no amount of blood money can heal a set of broken hearts and truth be told, no matter how much you are made to pay, this is a mistake you will never be able to buy your way out of.

History

About Blood Money

Blood money has been enforced by law in some countries, and then there are some religions that have allowed it as well. One religion to include this mode of substitute only in some particular cases is Islam, and the Arabic word for it is Diyya. Blood money is also known to be allowed in countries such as Korea, Japan, and Somalia. The entire concept of paying a sort of compensation for the loss of life of someone has been around for a very long time and continues to still exist. It is however entirely up to the family to decide if they are willing to accept the offered amount or not.

About Blood Money

It is truly sick to see people of power taking the lives of the innocent and still walking around without any signs of a conscience. It makes you wonder how they can sleep at night but that is just part of life really. These people convince themselves that as long as they are paying the blood money they are no longer questionable for their actions. This amount of money paid is thought to protect the offender from any sort of retaliatory response from the family of the person deceased, or in their cases, the person killed. If you look rationally however, you will notice that in most cases families that do accept a certain amount of money as compensation accept it only because they have no other choice. Majority of them are unable or maybe not strong enough to take a legal course of action and so do not attempt to do their best to put the offender behind bars. Or sometimes they accept it out of fear because they fear that if they do decide to retaliate even through legal means, the offender could do them more harm than he previously did.

Tips and comments

This is true especially in poorer countries that are mostly dominated by political organizations that are truly more like really big bangs that have access to great amounts of ammunition and roam around threatening the entire nation and making everyone’s life difficult. Such organizations are a true example of a large group of people without any sense of right or wrong. They are motivated by wealth and will do anything in their means to acquire it. If they are ever really challenged and somehow proven guilty of murder, they have enough sources to make their way out of the case by making wise use of blood money.
