Introduction

Toshiba is a well known leading company of electronic products worldwide. In the year 2010, Toshiba announced Toshiba tablet named Thrive and it was released in middle of year 2011. The tablet is reliable and gives a great performance and it is also very user friendly. The Toshiba tablet Thrive supports both 2G and 3G network. It have a 10.1 inch screen with the HD resolution. The screen is capacitive touch screen which gives a great performance to the users. It is available in 8, 16 and 32 Giga bytes of internal memory. It also have the external SD card support which can increase the memory up to 32 Giga bytes.

History

The Thrive Toshiba tablet is one of the great tablets in the world. It has a five mega pixel primary rear camera and a two mega pixel secondary front camera which gives a great quality for the video conference calls. Thrive Toshiba tablet comes with 3.0 version of android which can also be upgraded to the 3.2 version of android. The Nvidia Tegra 2 technology and a dual core processor chip of the Thrive Toshiba tablet gives a great performance for surfing the Internet, watching the HD videos and also playing 3D graphics games. It have a UPL GeForce supported GPU which gives a great performance while playing games. It have a built in GPS which can be used for the navigation purposes. An external display can also be connected via the HDMI support in the Thrive Toshiba tablet which gives a great quality of HD quality videos.

Features

Later in 2011, Toshiba tablet released another tablet named Thrive 7. Thrive 7 have pretty much same features to the Thrive but also lack some features that Thrive have. Thrive 7 have a 7 inch display with HD quality instead of a 10 inch display which makes it smaller than the Thrive Toshiba tablet. The weight of thrive 7 is 400 grams which is much lighter than the Thrive Toshiba tablet that weighs more than 750 grams. Thrive 7 do not have 2G or 3G support which means it can only be connected to the Internet via a Wi-Fi connection. Thrive 7 Toshiba tablet supports a micro SD memory card instead of an SD memory card. Thrive 7 only have mini USB port where as Thrive Toshiba tablet also support an external USB 2.0 flash drive.

Tips and comments

Although Thrive 7 Toshiba tablet have some draw back but it also have some cool features that Thrive Toshiba tablet do not have. For example, thrive 7 have a 7 inch display which makes it smaller than thrive Toshiba tablet which makes portability more easy. It have LED flash in the primary camera which thrive do not have. It can record 720p HD quality video where as thrive can only record VGA quality videos. It also supports GEO-tagging in the pictures. Thrive comes with 3.0 version of android operating system where as thrive 7 comes with 3.2 version of the android operating system. The GPU and chipset of the thrive 7 Toshiba tablet is same as the Thrive so it gives a great performance for playing heavy graphics games.
