There are a lot of different factors that come into play when talking about cancer survival. Your cancer could be easy or difficult and no one can predict the future. Some doctors will base your survival on the stage of the cancer and how advanced your cancer is. It also will depend on how much the cancer has spread or if it is more localized. Even though the cancer survival rate might be high for the type of cancer you have, you cannot base your prognosis on that and that alone.

History

You cannot base your cancer survival on how other people survived the same cancer. There are many different factors that have to be taken into consideration. A person’s health, age, and how well they handle stress also play a part in how someone will fair. Those that are younger and in better health have a better chance of surviving than an older person who has other health problems. One of the best things that you can do is set up a plan of action to follow. Having a plan set in place with your doctor can give you hope on how to treat your cancer. Having a plan in place can also help to ease your mind in knowing that you are having a say in how your cancer treatment will be done.

There are other factors that have to be taken into consideration. Only you and your doctor can decide how to proceed with your care. You also cannot guarantee that cancer survival rates will mean the same thing for you; they are just a general idea on how people in your same situation have faired. Nobody can give you a 100% guarantee.
