Having a yeast infection vaginal is very embarrassing to women. People who know that you have it may think that you are unclean or sleep around on your partner a lot. This is often not the case and some women just happen to get them more than other women. One reason that women can get yeast infection vaginal is that they are taking birth control. A yeast infection can happen when the natural conditions within the vagina are disturbed. This can be caused by taking antibiotics, birth control, having a weak immune system, stress, lack of sleep, having your menstrual cycle, and wearing clothing that is too tight. All of this can cause you to end up with a yeast infection vaginal and it does not mean that you are dirty or nasty. If you do have them and are prone to get them, there are things that you can do to help yourself from getting them in the future.

Step 1

If you suspect that you have a yeast infection vaginal you need to go to your doctor, He will examine you and let you know if you do have a yeast infection and give you medicine to treat it.

Step 2

If you are prone to yeast infection vaginal, you can also use yogurt to help restore the balance of bacteria in the vagina. You have to make sure that the yogurt has live cultures in it. Some women put the yogurt on the outside of the vagina or around the part that itches. This can help to restore the bacteria back to its right balance and help with the itching. After putting the yogurt on, you should wash it off in about twenty minutes.

Step 3

Another thing that you should do if you have recurrent yeast infection vaginal is look at the type of underwear you use. Most women have a problem wearing anything but pure cotton. It is okay to wear synthetic underwear for special occasions and short periods but for every day use cotton is best. Cotton will allow your vaginal area to breath and be free from sweat.

Step 4

To help get rid of yeast infection vaginal another thing that you can do is always make sure that you wipe front to back. Wiping back to front can cause bacteria from the anal area to enter the vagina. This can cause not only a yeast infection but other problems as well. Make sure that you also teach your young daughters to wipe this way.

Step 5

When having a yeast infection vaginal, it is also a good idea to try and get more rest. Getting more rest can help your body heal.

If you suspect that you have a yeast infection vaginal or you are always getting them, part of the problem may be stress, a change in your hormones or not getting enough sleep. Sometimes yeast infections can be caused from taking bubble baths. The chemicals used in bubble baths can effect the natural ph balance in the vagina. Another thing to remember is that douching is not a good thing. You can get yourself clean just by washing the area thoroughly with soap and water and rinsing well. Another thing is to avoid using any type of scented product around that area. Scents have chemicals in them and this can also disturb the ph balance.
