Health and wellness is something that many people tend to overlook, and some people start to focus on too late in their lifetime. This is something that can be quickly fixed if your business starts a wellness work program. The problem is that most companies don’t know how to start one or they think that it will be too expensive to actually implement. There are many simple ways that a company can get a wellness work programs started and ways to get their employees to participate.

The first thing that a company should do when starting a wellness work program is create a short questionnaire that asks the employees their thoughts on a wellness work program and if they have any idea that might help.

Then start by asking your employees to get a physical, as an incentive offer to pay their deductible. This will help them to understand where they are currently at in terms of health and where they need to be.

See if you can get locate businesses to come and speak to your employees. Most of the time if you call a few places there will be some local stores and companies that will do this for free as it will serve as a form of advertising for them.

Good places to call are health food stores, nutritionists, message therapists, personal trainers, gyms, and things such as that, basically anything that is designed to keep mental and physical health in tip top shape.

This is a great way to get your employees excited about a work wellness program. Make sure that your employees get a flu shot. Many employees might not wish to get flu shots, and this not be forced upon them, but if any employee wants one offer them free access to get one.

When one employee comes to work sick they get others sick, or if they call out then you loose a valuable member of the team. A simple wellness work program will help prevent this. If you think that your employees might like this, then buy a few inexpensive things that they can use before work, after work, and during their lunch breaks. Things like exercise balls, free weights, exercise bands, ab crunchers and mats are in expensive and take up a very little amount of room. No wellness work program will not have some form of exercise involved. Also make sure that you give your employees enough time off for lunch that they can take a walk, and encourage them to do so.
