Introduction

People have different ways of cleaning dishes at home. You can do dishes home using a dish washer, which is fast and efficient. You can also clean your dishes using your hands. Doing dishes home with a washer is not difficult but it’s a process nonetheless. You have to ensure that the dishes are stacked in properly to avoid breakage. What’s more, the dish washer has to be well loaded to make sure all the dishes home get clean and to avoid any damage to the machine. Select the right dish washing detergent to guarantee well rinsed out dishes. Be sure to put only the required amount of detergent to prevent flooding in the kitchen.

If you are doing dishes home using your hands there are different ways to go about it. You can choose to wear rubber gloves to protect your hands.

Step 1

Collect and assemble all dirty dishes to one side of the sink. Group them up accordingly. Have glassware together, pots and pans together and silverware together. If there is any food on the plates or pans, pour it out into the garbage. You do not want to do dishes home with bits and pieces of food that may clog the sink.

Step 2

Fill the pots and pans with hot water and dish detergent. Leave them to soak for a while. If you have serving spoons or other small cutlery that have grease and sticky stuff, soak them in the pots with hot water. Meanwhile, make sure the sink is emptied out and clean. Fill it in with hot water and pour in a good amount of dish detergent.

Step 3

Before you start doing your dishes home, create an area for drying them out. You can either put them up on a drying rack or place them on a dish towel.

Step 4

Put your glass ware in this hot water solution and start doing your dishes home. Carefully wash and rinse your glasses. Gently place them on the drying towel or have someone dry them off immediately. Drying dishes home as soon as they are done keeps them from getting water stains.

Step 5

Once you are done with the glasses, do the cups, mugs and other flatware that is not too dirty. When drying the dishes home, be sure not to stack them on top of each other. Let them dry out individually. Place side plates into the hot water next and wash them. Have them dry on the dish towel too.

Step 6

If the water is too dirty to do the next set of dishes home, empty it out. Clean the sink out and then fill it in with fresh hot water and more dish detergent. Make sure the water temperature is comfortable so as not to burn yourself. Do the plates next and rack them up to dry.

Step 7

Now get the serving spoons and the other utensils in the pots and pans. Do those dishes home next before finally moving to the pots and pans.

Conclusion

Once all the dishes home are done, empty the sink and wash it out. Clean up the kitchen counter, the stove and any other surfaces. You can use recommended surface cleaners to help get stubborn
