Don’t be afraid to mix in some other décor. County home décor is key to mixing in other styles because, well, that is what county home décor is about. It brings together things that might not be particularly thought of as complementary.
That being said, make sure that when you pick out a piece that might not be county home, make sure that it ties back to the overall theme of the room, this will give the room a sense of roundness and completeness and not just random stuff thrown together.
