Introduction
When a home is being constructed there is always a dining room and a drawing room. Dining room is the integral part of a home we cannot imagine a home without a dining room. Dining room is a place where all of a family gathers for their everyday meals including breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is a place where a family talks about their day. People love to decorate their dining rooms; they not only place a dining table but also some decorations to make it look stylish, so one cannot imagine a home without a dining room and a dining table. But there are flats and apartments where youngsters live on their own and they don’t have dining tables or a dining room. This doesn’t mean that they don’t eat, they definitely want a place where they can dine but the apartments doesn’t have much space so instead of fitting their dining table in the middle of their lounge they place a table with two or three chairs in the kitchen where they cook and eat their afterwards. This is not done by youngsters only, we see this in a lot of homes where the housewives have decorated their kitchens in a Spanish style with a beautiful dining table in between.
Step 1
Now with the passage of time people are going against dining rooms and even living rooms. They consider it a waste of space. Home builders are going towards building smaller houses and that will include home without a dining room or drawing room maybe.
Step 2
In older days like in 1950s homes were without a dining room and people use to have their meals in the kitchen where they had a table and chairs and thus the home occupied less space. This trend is now introducing in the modern ages.
Step 3
People while getting their houses constructed prefer larger rooms and more storage where they can put their stuff and belongings. Although it sound weird a home without dining room as we all have been so used to the concept of a home with a dining room and a drawing room . But now people who want something unique in their homes prefer not to have a dining room as it will occupy extra space.
Step 4
Some working families where husbands and wife work either as lawyers or run a business, when they get their houses constructed they get an extra room built instead of getting a dining room where they can do their daily work in short they have offices in their homes. So there are already homes without dining and drawing room as people though in minority consider them a waste of space.
Step 5
But there are people who want a typical home with two bedrooms, a drawing room, a garden and a kitchen. They can’t imagine their homes without all the rooms. They say dining room is as important as a bedroom as once cannot take guests into their bedroom so keeping their privacy in their mind the guests eat in the dining room and sit in the drawing room.
Tips
I would personally consider both the ideas of a home without and with a dining room. It depends upon your family and your style of living. If all your family members work and eat from diners and just have breakfast at home, I think having a dining room would be a waste of space. So a home without a dining room wouldn’t look weird in a house like that. But people prefer complete homes with all the rooms.
