Introduction
A home alarm system is designed to detect intruders in a building or a house. They are very useful because if someone who is of danger to you comes around you, you will know before that person tries to harm you. Such a system consists of a variety of sensors and detectors along with control panels, which are connected to switches and sockets, and they detect the presence of an intruder inside the building and turn on just when they enter and inform you about it. For inside the house you can go for the passive infrared detectors. This type of home alarm system will detect the presence of an intruder in the house with the help of the differentiation principle. The difference in temperature that is created by the person coming inside will be compared with the temperature of the layer which has no effect in its temperature and then the intruder alert will turn itself on.

The other type of home alarm system you can go with is the ultrasonic detectors. This particular alarm makes use of the Doppler shift effect. Using this effect it emits a sound of 15 kHz to 75 kHz which is a sound of high frequency and so is inaudible to humans. They detect intruder presence by the change in motion which causes an alteration in the sound waves. Now this alteration can either be away from the receiver or towards the receivers.

The home alarm system which makes use of the microwaves can also be used. They are also just like he Doppler shift effect. They emit microwaves which when reflect or are altered because of the presence of an intruder.

The home alarm system which can be used outdoors is the magnetic field detector. They are buried inside the ground which is a good thing because no one can destroy it. These detectors work on the Anomaly Detection Principle. This system makes use of the electric wires which are running parallel in a perimeter now when a movement is made here the magnetic field created by the electric wires will cut as the intruder would be perpendicular to the wires and so the intruder presence will be detected and the alarm will turn on. This is a good way of detection.

The electric field detector which are used in a home alarm system works in a similar way to the magnetic field detector and the system is very efficient.

These home alarm systems also automatically inform the police who come right away for your rescue you must have them in your house to protect yourself and your family.
