If you’re interested in homes that are for sale by owner, the first thing that you should do is take some time to search through web sites like ForSaleByOwner.com or FSBO.com to find home for sale by owner. Of course, you can also find these homes by driving around these neighborhoods. Also, check out RealEstate.com and Realtor.com. These web sites allow you to enter your desired location, any special features that you’re searching for, a price range and the type of property you want to find. CraigsList.org and eBay.com oftentimes list homes for sale as well. Here you’ll need to know the area or location in which you want to find home to buy since this is the main criteria upon which your search will be conducted.

You can also find home for sale by realtors online by yourself. There are some other web sites that you may wish to check out for just this reason. They include Zillow, Trulia and Realtor.com. All of these web sites feature a way in which you can narrow your search according to the name of the street, city, state or ZIP code in which you desire to live. By typing this information into the search box on these web sites and then clicking “enter” you’ll bring up information about any homes that fit your specifications.

Once you know what neighborhoods you’re interested in, you can always take a drive. This is oftentimes the best way in which to find home “For Sale By Owner.” Whenever you do find home you should write down the contact’s phone number, as well as take notes on any thoughts that you may have about the landscaping, the proximity of other homes in the area and what you think of the neighborhood’s overall general appearance. Take some time to find some of these homes so that you can compare them to one another. Decide upon some that you’re actually interested in seeing. Contact the homeowner to set up a time to look at the property they’re trying to sell.
Tips
Take your time whenever you're shopping around for a new home. This is a big decision and the last thing that you want to do is rush into it only to find that the home you have chosen doesn't meet your needs after all.
