Tips About the Use Of Microsoft Management

Introduction

The Microsoft Management Console helps in creating flexible user interfaces and administration tools for system administrators. It is an application used by the developers to write tools. It provides a platform which contains applications and provides simple and integrated user interface. 

Step 1

MMC has tools and it displays them as consoles. The tools consist of numerous applications called snap-ins. The snap-ins contains a series of more snap ins. MMC is the core of Microsoft Windows and will be used by Microsoft development groups. MMC provides special tools through which the tasks of the users can be performed. Unique consoles can be created and tools can be assigned with system policy, files can be delivered and can be posted.

Step 2

A computer with Windows 2000 Professional or Windows 2000 server is needed. Go to the start menu, click on run and type there MMC and click OK. MMC will be opened with no management functionality. Click the console which is under the console 1, then click add/remove snap in. Click add to add the specified snap in’s. A list of snap-ins will be shown from their click computer Microsoft management.

Step 3

Then click local computer and tick the check box "Allow the selected computer to be changed when launching from the command line." And simply click finish. Finally click close. Then click the extensions table and tick the check box for add all extensions. Then click ok. Different administrative tools can be provided by adding windows. In the left click computer Microsoft management and then system tools. The folder which opens right click and then click new window. Select window and simply click the console root.

Step 4

Now in the console root window click services and applications in Microsoft Management. In the left side, right click the services and then new window. Now in the new window show/hide console tree is there, click that toolbar to hide. Close all. Go to the window menu, go to tile horizontally the console file is there and write the information. Save all and you can also save as.

Step 5

The toolbar buttons and menus apply only to the contents of the window in Microsoft Management. For console task pads go to the window menu and new window. Close all the others. On the left go to computer Microsoft Management and then to the system tools click system then the event viewer. Right click system and then new task pad view. Accept all default settings and on the last page verify the check box. Select properties click next. Then click finish.

Tips

Select the show/hide console toolbar tree button, click customize from the view menu and select all options accept description bar. To set console file options select options from console menu, select user mode limited access selecting console mode. The name can be changed and click ok. Save all changes.

Conclusion

You can stop a program from the preferences dialog box which can be viewed from the menu actions services MMC. If you are confused about the program list, let it keep running. Uninstall other applications that are not used.
