Introduction

Christmas is a holiday that almost all people look forward to celebrating. You know it’s Christmas already when people start putting up Christmas decorations, such as Christmas trees, and Christmas lights. For some, people go beyond that and invent some more decorations such as snowman, candy canes, Santa’s elves and Santa’s reindeers. In some places, people make and decorate a Santa Car. If you haven’t done such thing, here’s your chance to do it by following these easy steps.

Step 1

Step 1. Draft your ideas

The first thing that you should do is to know what design you want to make. You can start by asking yourself these questions: How should my Santa car look like? What things am I going to add to make my Santa car special? What are the things that I am going to use? You may now have a lot of ideas in your mind right now so don’t forget to have a paper and pen prepared to list down or draw your thoughts. You may come up with a lot of versions for your Santa car until you’ve finally decided to pick one. When you have your final draft already, make sure to list down the components of each parts, decide on what color you’re going to choose and what materials you’re going to use.

Step 2

Step 2. Estimate your budget

Now that your ideas and plans are all set, it’s time to make sure that you can buy all the necessary materials that you’re going to need for your Santa car. By this time, you may already have a checklist of all the materials that you’re going to need. Estimate a price for each of them, estimate how much of them you’re going to need, and assign any alternatives in case you can’t find one. When your total calculated expenses are way too high, go over your checklist again and try to think of any alternatives for some of your materials.

Step 3

Step 3. Prepare the materials needed

So now you’re all set. You’re just a few steps away in finally making and decorating your Santa car. You’ve bought everything that is on your checklist and even checked twice, just in case you forgot something. It’s time to prepare the materials that you’re going to need. There are some of them that might need to be prepared first like your paint (if you want to have any color mixes), or your paper strips and adhesive (if you’re planning to make some paper mache).

Step 4

Step 4. Make it a reality

It’s time to make your ideas come true. Check the final draft for your Santa car design and decide which part you’re going to make and decorate first. Don’t get too excited to finish your work. You should always take your time and be patient. You’ll be pleased to see the end product of your creation.

Step 5

Step 5. Do necessary finishing touches

When you’re finally done with your Santa car, make sure to make some finishing touches. It’s a necessary thing to do because some parts of your Santa car may need a little more color or shade and some may still need some more decorations. Some people overdo everything when they do their finishing touches. So always keep in mind that finishing touches are for filling up some holes or spaces that you might have missed and adding some little highlights in your design.
