Setting Up A Trade Show Booth

Introduction

A trade show is the way for you to get your business and its product out there so people will know more about it. Sometimes, things just do not go as you had expected because people are passing up your trade show booth and going to the competitors. If your booth is not set up right, then it just does not matter how hot the product is because it will still go unnoticed all day.

Location of Booth

When a trade show is scheduled, there are going to be different locations for which to choose from. If you have the funds tucked away, then this would be the time to pay some extra money so you can set up the trade show booth in a top prime spot. This is one way of getting noticed quickly by the potential customers. If this is just not an option, then try and pick a spot that will be right next to the competition. This might sound a little crazy to you but this is also a way of getting the customers to look at your product, especially if you are offering something new and different that no one else has around you. Remember, the customer is already there looking, so why not take full advantage of the situation.

Cramming the Display

When people are walking around looking at the product that is offered, it becomes overwhelming for them when they come to your trade show booth and it is crammed. There are brochures of all kinds stacked to the ceiling, and in every spot, there is a different product sitting around. This can be so confusing to the average person. Instead of trying to cram one of everything into the trade show booth that your company sells, only grab the new items and maybe one or two of the old ones. It is much easier to focus your attention and presentation on just a few items. It makes for a much better presentation that the customers will understand. Samples are another nice way of letting the customers try out the product and then returning at a later date for a purchase.

Clean Presentation

You are a professional with other professionals all around you in every direction when at a trade show. The last thing you want to do is make a bunch of hand painted signs and set them up around your trade show booth. This would be the quickest way of watching people walk on by all day long. This is the time for you to be creative and shine above the competition. Think of something witty that can sum up the product in just a few words. It is about grabbing the customer’s attention and keeping it so the product can be explained so they fully understand why they should buy it.

Keep the presentation attractive and clean from clutter. Some snazzy set up can make a lasting impression even if the customer does not stop right then. If you can get in their mind, then they will look for you at the next trade show or even do a quick search on line to see if they can still purchase the product.
