Introduction

There are a lot of songs that mention the color red in them. The color is either mentioned as a part of the song title or the lyrics of the song itself. The color red has a big significance in the music industry. Back in the 1950’s, 1960’s and the 1970’s, there was a category of songs known as the Red Songs that were written mainly for propaganda purposes. They were majorly sung in China.
