In the year 2011 many great songs were produced and music lovers were spoilt for choice. Below are the top 3 songs that topped the charts in 2011.

This British songstress Adele Laurie Blue Adkins released this beautiful song. It was one of the 3 songs on her second album “21” and won her numerous awards e.g. 2 Grammy awards. This success earned her many mentions in the Guinness Book of Worlds Records. It has been covered by many people too including: Glee, Linking Park, John Legend and American Idol’s Haley Reinhart. The Rolling Stone Magazine even named it one of the best singles of 2011.

Being one of the top 3 songs of 2011 it is about a love scorned who is warning her ex that one day he is going to regret breaking up with her. The lyrics tells the ex how the breaking up did to them and how they could have had it all.

The title of these top 3 songs is got from the corruption of the British slang “roll deep” which means having someone you can depend on which Adele though she had from her boyfriend before he broke it off. considered as one of the top 3 songs, its unique as it has not bridge instead it has the chorus taking up almost half of the song by appearing three times.

This is considered to be one of the top 3 songs to be released in 2011. It was more of a club anthem as it is considered to be danceable with sparse lyrics whereby Rihanna chants the words “we found love in a hopeless place” over and over.

Producer Calvin Harries produced the tracks and it has a beat build up and breakdown with whoosh noises noted in the background. This song was said to be one of the best pop top 3 songs and was top 10 in the Hot 100 list and stayed for eight weeks on Bill Board Hot 100 list.

The lyrics talks about two lovers in a toxic relationship that they do not only abuse each other but they also abuse drugs too. Rihanna explained that the lyrics are about someone being trapped in a bad relationship because they hang on because of the times it made them feel good.

The lead singer of Maroon Adam Levine explains how the legendary Mick Jagger of the group Rolling stone having some great dance moves. He describes the moves as being spastic where all your limbs and the whole body at completely different times. So the song is about him trying to impress a lady by telling her he has moves like mick Jagger.

Like other pop song in the top 3 songs of 2011, the lyrics are sparse with the beats making the song danceable and fun for the audience. This is one of the top 3 songs that brought the two singers in the limelight in a major way and stayed for 8weeks on the Billboard 100 list.
