Villas in Italy

For those planning a trip to Italy, consider renting villas in Italy. Renting villas in Italy allows one to have a home away from home while they are away. Often, renting villas in a country you are visiting will be less expensive than staying in a hotel. Also, villas in a vacation spot will allow a family to be together in one place and will allow the family to have homemade meals. This is another money saver over the cost of eating out all the time. Dining out for three meals a day for each day you are away can be very expensive.

Step 1

Speak to your travel agent when you are booking your vacation. Your agent may know of villas in Italy that are available for short term rentals. Areas that are popular with tourists will often have more villas in those areas that are rented out to vacationers. While it may cost a bit more to go through your travel agent, you will have the benefit of working with someone who has contracts around the world. You also will have the added assurance that you are handing your money over to a reputable source when renting villas in Italy.

Step 2

Research villas in the area you are going to be visiting yourself. The Internet has made the world smaller and easier to navigate. You can quickly and easily search for villas in any area of Italy. Gather a list of those that you like and that would be a good fit for you and your party. Make contact with the Realtor or owner of the property.

Step 3

While researching villas in Italy, also research Realtors in Italy. You may be able to contact one in Italy who can search for villas in Italy that are available for rent. You can have photos and information sent to your email. Working with a Realtor may be the best bet for those who do not have family or friends who can check on the rental property for you. A Realtor will of course want to keep a happy customer and will be honest and realistic with you about the property.

Step 4

If you have family or friends in the area you are visiting, ask them for help finding villas in the area for rent. Even if you find a villa in the area that you like during your research, it is best to have someone in the actual country that you trust before sending any money. Those who know you and your tastes will often do a good job of determining whether a property is a good fit for you or not.

Step 5

Do not be too trusting. If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Do all that you can to be sure that you are dealing with a reputable realtor or homeowner before turning over any type of deposit on villas in that country. It is better to be overly cautious than to hand money over to a scam artist.

Research anyone you are doing business with, both Realtors and travel agents. Especially if you have never had dealings with them before. This cannot be stated enough. Do not just hand over your hard earned money.

If a transaction gives you reason for pause, take more time before following through. Never let someone make you feel rushed to decide and wire money right away. If that villa in Italy is gone, another one will come along.
