Introduction

Football is one of the most watched games in the world. This has inspired many people to want to know how to play football. Football academies have been set up across the globe to help those wishing to learn how to play football to train. Training at football academies requires commitment if you want to be a pro in football. Your commitment really matters. But how can you speed up training at football?

This can be viewed in two sides; one as a coach and the other as trainee. Both of these sides determine how fast training at football will be.

The coach

The coach is the main person at football training. He is the one who guides the trainee, by planning the training schedule and making sure that it is followed to the letter. The training schedule is the first place that the coach needs to pay attention. The training schedule should be able to accommodate both fast learners and slow learners.

The coach should be able to help slow learners learn how to play football quickly. The only way to implement speed training at football for these groups of learners is to use their strength as a motivator. Slow learners are easily discouraged, but if they are encouraged and shown that they are improving in whatever they do, they will be able to put more effort in their training. Slow leaners value a one on one with the coach. The coach should be able to provide time with each of the slow learners because it will boost their morale. When they are training with fast learner, the fast learner should be supportive.

For those trainees who are fast learners, the coach should know that they also have their weaknesses too. Fast learners get bored easily, especially when the same routine keeps repeating. The coach should be able to have a training program that is not repetitive. Remember, these are guys who grasp things fast, so you need to take them through the lesson fast. If any routine is to be repeated, as a coach, try to be creative enough not to repeat the routine you did before and if you have to repeat, try to include something new in your old routine. Fast learners are always yearning for new ideas and that is what you should give them at football training.

The trainee

As a trainee, the ball is in your court to decide if you want to learn fast at football training. No one will ever determine your commitment, it is all about you. The faster you want to learn football, the more committed you should be. This is just a personal decision rather than a coach decision. You should also be ready to sacrifice. Speeding up training at football requires time even in the hours that you as a trainee is not comfortable. Are you ready to be available at those hours? Training that should be accomplished in one year is condensed to one month.
