There are some countries that have a successful history in football and Washington is also one of them. Dog James is known as the father of Washington football who coached at Washington football 18 years from 1957 to 1974. He shaped football into a way that nobody had ever done before. Until now, Washington did not find a coach better than Dog James;modern day coaches of football just don’t have the great influence.

History

Mr. Dog James started his coaching career in Washington football in the Pacific Coast Conference. He was very enthusiastic and had great ideas in his mind. He organized the football program in Washington and gave a provincial and modest visibility to everybody who lived in Seattle, whether they were a football fan or not. He stands tall and forever he will remain among us who love to play the football game.
College football in Washington also has a long history. The Washington Huskies have achieved the championships of 15 Pacific 10 Conferences, three national conferences and seven Rose Bowl titles. The Huskies team of from the University of Washington contains the two of the longest winning streaks of the nation that carries the Division I-A unbeaten record at 63 games.

Features

In 1984, the Huskies opened the Washington football season with the record of 9-0 which included 20-11 game win at number 4 Michigan at the Michigan Stadium. They were invited to play in the Orange Bowl with the Oklahoma Sooners. The game became famous due to Sooner Schooner incident. The driver of Sooner Schooner did not check the flag and drove the wagon on game field. The Huskies team of Washington football became the first winning team from the “Pac-10” and won the Orange Bowl.

In 1990, the Huskies team of Washington football worked for the season with two wins against Purdue and San Jose State. After holding winning awards, the team welcomed the fifth USC ranked football team and achieved 31-0. After one week, the team had a loss from the AP national champions from Colorado. After this defeat, Washington decided to finish this season averaging more than 40 points in a game.
In every year, the Washington football has won several matches against powerful and strong national teams. On September 19, 2009, Washington football Huskies team dropped the Number 3 ranked USC Trojans at home. In October 2, 2010 the Washington football Huskies University were moving to the Grand Ol Lady in order to defeat the number 18 ranked USC Trojans. This was the place where they failed to achieve the winning award since 1996.
In October 10, 2009, the Huskies Washington football team hosted the Wildcats of Arizona at home. This was a hot war and the game was really interesting. The scoring went back and forth but at the end they were down, 33-28.
