Introduction
Anybody who follows European football (soccer) will have heard of the Arsenal Football team. Arsenal has been in the top position of the English Premier League for many years now. Arsenal Football team is based out of the greater London area. Arsenal along with Crystal Palace are the two main teams from London that compete in the Premier League. It is one of the most successful teams in English as is proven by the fact that it has won over 10 Football Association Challenge Cups. The Football Association Challenge cup is usually abbreviated to FA Cup. Arsenal Football team is the only team in the history of English Premier League to have completed a season without losing even one match. Arsenal is among the most favorite teams all around Europe today.
Arsenal Football team is located in the borough of Holloway which is located north of the center of London. Arsenal gets its name from weapons manufacturing and research center of the British Army. This center was called Royal Arsenal and it was the employees of this institution which formed a football team in 1886. About 25 years later the team had reached a level where it was ready to compete at a professional level. So in 1893 the Royal Arsenal entered the football league as Woolwich Arsenal. Until 1904 the team remained in second division league. The biggest problem for Arsenal football team in those days was that there was not enough fans due to there being other London teams which were better established. In 1910 the team financial status became very unstable and it had to be rescued by business man. This business man moved Arsenal football team to north London and changed the name from Woolwich Arsenal to just Arsenal.
The FA Cup is the oldest football tournament in the world. The first ever FA Cup was held in 1872. The interesting thing about the FA Cup is that it is not restricted to the teams that are in the Premier League. The Premier League is made up of the best teams in England. Teams can be relegated or promoted from one league to the next depending upon their performance in any given season. The crest or logo that is to be found on all Arsenal football merchandise is that of Canon. This crest goes back to the original days when Arsenal football was a small team made of armament factory workers.

To used to be easy to identify the Arsenal football players when they are on the pitch due to their distinctive uniforms. The Arsenal uniform used to always consist of a red shirt, white sleeves, white shorts and black socks. However, recently Arsenal football players are seen to be wearing different colors of uniforms almost every season. This is especially true of the away colors which are worn whenever the team is playing on a ground other than its own home ground.
