Sharing Main Football Rumours

If you are usually interested in football rumours, winter is a good time to follow them, because teams are very active during this period.

Chelsea is the club that is most involved in football rumours these days. It is said that they are after several players this winter in a desperate attempt to bounce back from a disappointing start of the season. The main target that they are after is Willian, the creative midfilder from Shakhtar Donetsk. Chelsea is keeping track of the 22 year old Brazilian since 2009, when he was a key member of the team that won the Uefa Europa League. Watching him star in Champions League with the same team next season, when they reached the quarter-finals convinced Andrea Villas Boas to make a 20 million Euros offer. It is said that Shakhtar declined the offer, expecting an offer of at least 25 million.

History

Another Premier League powerhouse and the team that monopolized the first place in the first half of the season, Manchester City, is involved in football rumours. It is said that they are pursuing David Pizarro from AS Roma, right after City manager Roberto Mancini stated that they are not interested in any transfers this winter. However, people suspect that Mancini wants more options in the midfield area and the 32 year old Chilean is on the top of his list. There are more clubs interested in his services, like Juventus, Genoa or Zenit St Petersburg, but the move to Manchester is a big lure for Pizaro.

Features

Another player Chelsea is very interested in the Croatian speedy winger Milos Krasic, from Juventus Torino. According to the latest football rumours, Krasic does not seem to be in the manager’s plans, Antonio Conte and will leave the club this winter. On of his agents stated that he was expecting his client to leave soon and Chelsea was one of the possible destinations. Villas Boas wants Krasic as a replacement for Nicolas Anelka, who left this winter to China, but he would prefer a loan until the end of this season, a move not that appealing for the Italian club.

Tips and comments

One of the most interesting football rumours this period is the move of Carlos Tevez to Livepool. According to an English newspaper, the Reds are interested in a swap of Tevez with Andy Caroll, although Caroll joined the club less than a year ago. His hesitant start last season made Liverpool fans very restless, especially because he represents the biggest transfer the club had ever made at 35 million pounds. It seems like the expectations were too big for such a young player. Tevez had been on City’s departure list for some time now, and he was pursued by AC Milan and PSG the recent months, but with no result. It seems Liverpool is willing to pay an extra amount for the transfer, so it is a big chance there will not be a straight exchange. A city official denied the information immediately, even though their manager, Roberto Mancini, was a big fan of Caroll when he was with Newcastle.
