How To Use Airport East

Published at 03/14/2012 18:09:11

Introduction

Airport East usually refers to the eastern entrance or exit of an airport, but in this case the topic is how to reach and use the Airport East bus in Melbourne Airport. This bus connects the Melbourne Airport to Melbourne’s northern and eastern suburbs, but it also specializes in personal and private tours throughout Melbourne and Victoria (Australia) for bigger groups. As an example someone may want to organize a trip to Melbourne and stay in Melbourne for a couple of days. If true they might want to book tickets at Airport East bus from the East Airport (the pick up point) and go to Box Hill at The Tudor Motel (the drop off point).

Step 1

The first and most important step is to enter East Airport  bus website (www.airportbus.com) and make a booking in order to have the trip prepared before arriving to Australia. On the web you can choose your type of service (One Way or with return included), the East Airport bus service is easy to use and you have a special option if you arrive after 6 o’clock to book the bus for a door to door service. Also the payment will have to be made online (the prices are 40$ for daytime – 8:15 AM to 6:05 PM – and 52$ for a door to door service – 7:00 PM till 8:00 PM).

Step 2

The second step will be to gather your group of travelers and take the airplane to Melbourne, Australia from your local airport. When you arrive at the Melbourne Airport gather your group and make sure you are all in one place so neither of you will get lost nor misplace any luggage and take the airport bus from the airplane’s runway to the airport central and past the check in. Here you will have to find the luggage check in and grab your gear (from personal experience I recommend that you pack thorough so it doesn’t weight very much and over encumber you)

Step 3

After you have arrived to the East Airport, passed the check in the airport and reclaimed your luggage you should check once again that you and your group has all its members and go towards the airport’s exit. Be careful though because the airport might have several exits and it would be bad if you would get lost and arrive late for your Airport East bus pick up. The closest pick up point is at Tullamarine outside International Arrivals.

Step 4

At the Airport East bus station you will have to present a valid ID card or valid Passport and proof of both the online booking and online payment.

Step 5

All passengers from the group will be loaded into the bus and taken to The Tudor Motel (the drop off point) where they will check in (or optional if you have booked tickets in advance will have to present proof of booking and a valid ID card or Passport). I recommend booking in advance your ticket for the entire journey.
