From the parking space to the airport, you can take one of the free shuttles that transport passengers. You can also choose the Pay&Go option. This is an automated system and it is found at the lower levels of the terminals near the west and east exit doors.

Step 3

About ground transportation in Dulles Airport

In front of the Main Terminal you can find Washington Flyer Taxicabs. This type of transportation is served exclusively to the International Airport. The best part is that you don’t have to make a reservation. To get to Washington, you have to pay around $50 or more. You can also get to Washington by boarding the Washington Flyer Coach Service. Every half an hour, the coach service departs from the Main Terminal Building, at Level Door 4 Arrivals. It will cost you $9 to get to DC.

Step 4

Another option you might like is the Metrobus. It is a fast way of getting to Washington and it is really cheap, only $3. The problem is that they run once at every hour. There is also a SuperShuttle service which will cost you $22 to get to Washington. For more information about the schedule, you can call their direct line, 1-800-BLUEVAN. Around Dulles Airport you can also find rental cars on-site. These include: Thrifty, National, Hertz, Enterprise, Dollar, Budget, Avis and Alamo.

Step 5

If you have an early flight the next morning, you can choose to stay in a hotel near the airport. There are a lot of hotels that offer affordable prices for rooms, especially if you stay just one night. Plus, many of them offer free transportation to the Dulles International Airport.

Got an early morning flight? You may want to consider staying overnight at a hotel near Dulles International Airport in Chantilly, Virginia. This region, known as the Dulles Technology Corridor, has numerous hotels that cater to the business traveler and many of them offer free shuttles to Dulles International Airport. Some hotels even offer complimentary parking while you are away.
