United airlines are the biggest airline company serving the Ohare airport. This airport is operated by the city of Chicago department of aviation and it is the second largest hub for the United Airlines. This airport has been awarded as a best airport in North America for ten years by global travel magazines & business travel magazines (U.S. edition).

There are five main ways to get to the Ohare airport

Step 1

STEP 1:- BY TAXI

You may get to airport by taxi and it takes 30 to 45 minutes to get there from downtown. Also you will get taxi very easily for the airport as it is not that very far from downtown. Also the fare for getting to the Ohare airport from downtown by taxi is between 35$ to 45$. This fare is fixed for most of the taxis but this fare may vary from place to place. From North or West side parts needs less fare, while from Southern side part it may be more expensive.

Step 2

STEP 2:- By BUS

The bus is also another option available to get to the Ohare airport. Pace rout 250 (Dempster street) and 330 (Mannheim/La Grange) stops at terminus of airport transit system near parking lot E. Several bus companies run a schedule and chartered service to other communities.

Step 3

STEP 3:- By PLANE

The O’Hare airport is well connected to other airports in country. The Omega airport shuttle provides transport service to midway airport for 16$. This service is available every hour from bus/shuttle centre. But this service is available between 6.45Am to 11.45PM, daily.

Step 4

STEP4:-By CAR

You can get to OHare airport via I-190 that originates between I-249 and I-90. From downtown Chicago, follow I-90/94 northwest and then continue travelling on I-90 when I-94 splits off. And then travel on I-190 which splits off into arrival (lower level) and departure (upper level). This is for terminal numbers 1, 2 and 3. For terminal 5, exit is on Bessie Coleman drive.

Step 5

STEP 5:-BY TRAIN

CTA blue line terminal on space-age station for OHare airport is designed by firm architect Helmut Jahn. The trains run for 24 hours a day on this rout. But the only thing is that their frequency varies according to time. During peak hours, trains run every six minutes while during overnight their frequency got reduced to one in half an hour. The train station is situated below bus/shuttle centre, which is closest to terminal 2. So the train station is easily accessible to underground passengers, by using moving walkways from terminals 1 and 3. Those who arrive at terminal 5, they have to use automated terminal system between terminal number 2 and terminal 5.

Tip

The Ohare airport has a big number of passenger terminals with 182 airplane gates. Construction of two or more buildings is under planning and there is the possibility of large terminal complex on the west side of the field. Terminal number five handles all international arrives at the Ohare airport while terminal numbers one, two and three handle domestic arrival & departure.
