Introduction

Coruna airport Spain is situated in La Coruna city in Spain. Coruna city is the second largest city in Spain and a provincial capital. It has also served as a political capital of the kingdom of Galicia from the 16th to the 19th centuries and a regional administrative centre between 1833 and 1982. Coruna city is also a busy port located at estuary in a large gulf on the Atlantic ocean. It provides a distribution point for agricultural goods from the region. Coruna city has an oil refinery too. History

At the beginning of 20th century Coruna had about 45,000 inhabitants. Today the municipality of Coruna has 246,047 inhabitants and has one of the highest population densities of Spain with about 6,700 inhabitants per square kilometer. The Coruna airport Spain was constructed through the order of council of ministers of Spain to serve the city of Coruna in 1953. The airport was completed and inaugurated on 25 may 1963 when the first commercial airliner arrived from Madrid
