Nebraska vacations offer Fremont dinner trains; they are unique and inspiring as mentioned above. The train’s décor is traditional and is kept historical as far as possible to give the authentic 40’s feel. Throughout the ride, you will notice pictures and posters of the rails that were in the 40s. One of the dinner cars (Rose Creek) was built in 1947; whose special feature is the dance floor which is still liked by many. The newest addition to the dinner trains is the (Fontanels springs) which was built in 1956. There are two parts to this train, first is reserved for dinner and the other for socializing.

To make Nebraska vacations the special dinner offered on the train has a wide range of a menu to choose from. The evening dinner has hors d oeuvres, vegetable beef soup, tossed green lettuce salad; the main entrees are the prime rib; apple glazed Cornish hen, swordfish, pasta primavera; the apple glazed and the prime ribs are served with baked potatoes, and the sword fish is served with rice; pasta primavera is served with different kinds of fruits. All dinner menu items feature broccoli and classic dinner rolls, and mouthwatering cherry cheese cake. Sunday dinner starters have tossed green lettuce salad as an appetizer, the main entrees include the London broil, pasta, sautéed catfish, grilled chicken and apples, served with diced mushrooms, onion, and garlic in red-wine sauce. The London broil is served with parsley buttered potatoes. Sautéed catfish is served with plain rice. And pasta primavera is served with fruits, and all dinner includes broccoli and dinner rolls. The desert features mouthwatering cherry cheese cake.

Tips and comments

There are various shows on the train to make your Nebraska vacations pleasurable. The shows are melodrama, wine tasting, Santa's run, Valentine’s Day, murder mysteries, USO show, Halloween run, New Year’s Eve, Oktoberfest. On Friday and Saturday the price per person is 54 dollars, including the five-course dinner and dinner beverages of coffee or tea. Sunday afternoon rate is 44 dollars, which comprises of a three-course meal and beverages. The special event series charges an extra 30 dollars; however, the prices are exclusive of taxes.
