Having acne can be troublesome for teens and adults alike. There are many commercial products that you can buy to help clear up your acne, and these can cost a lot of money. People are always buying the wrong products because they do not know what type of skin they have, and this can cause acne outbreaks. Some of the best products to treat acne can be found right in your kitchen cupboard. Many household items have been used for centuries, before all of the commercial products hit the market. If you talk to your grandmother I am sure she can give you some great advice on the products that she used. If using homemade products, it is wise to use fresh products. You do not want to use things past their expiration date as this can cause you to possibly get an infection. Do not over think how to treat acne, because overthinking can make the problem worse.

Step 1

For oily skin, an egg white can do wonders in the war to treat acne. Take an egg, break it and separate the egg white from the yolk. Beat the egg white until it is stiff and then add some lemon juice. Put this on your face and allow it to set for a couple of minutes and then wash off. This will help cut down on how oily your face is. Do not disregard the egg yolk. You can beat the egg yolk and add oil with it and make a great deep conditioner for your hair.

Another homemade product to treat acne is oatmeal.  Use old fasioned oatmeal, not the seasoned packets, and add some to boiling water to make a paste for your face. Leave it on for a few minutes, and then rinse your face. The oatmeal acts as a skin exfoliate leaving your face soft and smooth. It will help remove the dead skin that is on your face.
