How To Treat Acne With Common Household Items

Introduction

Having acne can be troublesome for teens and adults alike. There are many commercial products that you can buy to help clear up your acne, and these can cost a lot of money. People are always buying the wrong products because they do not know what type of skin they have, and this can cause acne outbreaks. Some of the best products to treat acne can be found right in your kitchen cupboard. Many household items have been used for centuries, before all of the commercial products hit the market. If you talk to your grandmother I am sure she can give you some great advice on the products that she used. If using homemade products, it is wise to use fresh products. You do not want to use things past their expiration date as this can cause you to possibly get an infection. Do not over think how to treat acne, because overthinking can make the problem worse.

Step 1

For oily skin, an egg white can do wonders in the war to treat acne. Take an egg, break it and separate the egg white from the yolk. Beat the egg white until it is stiff and then add some lemon juice. Put this on your face and allow it to set for a couple of minutes and then wash off. This will help cut down on how oily your face is. Do not disregard the egg yolk. You can beat the egg yolk and add oil with it and make a great deep conditioner for your hair.

Step 2

Another homemade product to treat acne is oatmeal.  Use old fasioned oatmeal, not the seasoned packets, and add some to boiling water to make a paste for your face. Leave it on for a few minutes, and then rinse your face. The oatmeal acts as a skin exfoliate leaving your face soft and smooth. It will help remove the dead skin that is on your face.

Step 3

Some people also use baking soda to treat acne. You make a paste that consists of one tablespoon baking soda and two table spoons of water. Use cotton balls to wipe this on your face and leave for about 15 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.

Step 4

Another great mask to use if you have oily skin is apples and honey. You grate half an apple and mix with enough honey to form a paste. This will help to rid your face of unnecessary oil and help to keep your skin clean. This is just one of the many different treat acne remedies that you can try at home.

Step 5

For another treatment you can try witch hazel as an astringent. This can help to make your pores smaller and help to reduce breakouts on your face. This is just one of the many different home remedies that are available to treat acne.

Tips

Keeping your face clean is very important to help reduce acne and keep it under control. Making sure that you are eating right can also help you treat acne at home. Try to stay away from fatty foods and do not drink a lot of carbonated drinks. These can cause problems and make a break out last longer. Hydrating yourself with water can help to keep your skin clear. Following a routine is another way to treat acne and keep new out breaks at bay.
