Introduction

Muscle Diseases are type of diseases that generally affect muscles in the body that control various body part motion. Almost all muscle diseases of the body are as a result of direct unusual abnormalities in the human body muscles, if the disease is acquired or congested,it is categorized as a Primary Muscle Diseases. But muscle diseases that are basically as a result of a symptom of another potential disease are categorized as secondary muscle diseases. Muscle Diseases are therefore further sub-divided into either primary or secondary muscle diseases. There are different types of muscle diseases that are as a result of viral infection to the body or to the body part in a person. These types include the following.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

This type of muscular disease is a type of illness that results to regular and acute fatigue-like situation in the patient's body system, often leaving the patient too tied and may hence lead to the patient being disabled. Patients of extensive and continuous fatigue symptoms may suffer from unidentified and strenuous mental and physical stress even to exposure to the slightest of psychological or physical strain. Such kind of people often complain of continuous strains or pains in their body muscles that cannot be clearly established even under medical laboratory testing , such as adverse rigidness in the muscles without any case study showing any pathological condition. Chronic fatigue syndrome is one of the few understood type of muscle diseases in the world and is found to be more prone to a particular gender and age-groups. It is evident more among young people between the ages of 15 and 20 years and adults between the ages of 33 and 45 years. This type of muscle disease is normally prevalent and found majorly among women. It is generally understood that it is caused by a viral infection of the body muscles. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is normally categorized under primary, secondary and other types of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. This is due to the fact that its pathology is not quite clear. However, infection by the Epstein-Barr virus or Herpes Virus-6 is believed to be the most probable cause.

Influenza

Influenza is another type of the very many muscle diseases that affect people globally. It is basically caused by a viral infection that affects various parts of the body including the body muscles. It has a life span of around three to five days which afterwards followed by severe fatigue of the muscles for two or three weeks. It usually causes body muscle aches, headaches, cough and fever characterized by high body temperatures. Due to the fact that it is a viral infection, it cannot be treated with the use antibiotics. The use of antiviral agents can help reduce the severity and duration of the infection.

Ross river virus disease

This is also a type of the many muscle diseases. It can cause inflammation, pain, fatigue and muscle aches. Many infected patients heal if treated from the infection of alpha virus that is caused by mosquito bites. All the muscle diseases that are caused by the various viral infection, can be prevented through vaccination early enough to avoid a later complication.
