How To Tell If I Have Heart Desiese

Introduction

Heart desiese is the number one cause of death among humans in the United States. Heart desiese does not discriminate, people of all ages, all ethnicitys and all walks of life can get heart desiese. Every year 785,000 Americans have their very first heart attack. On top of that, another 470,000 who have already had one or more heart attacks have another one. It is so extremely important to pay close attention to your body, if you're feeling any of the symptoms mentioned below, then seek medical help. There are several different types of heart desiese's so with one, you may experience one symptom but with another, you may not experience that symptom.

Step 1

Symptoms of heart disease in Blood Vessels:

  • sharp chest pain
  • shortness of breath
  • numbness in arms or legs

This type of heart desiese is considered cardiovascular heart desiese and is caused by stiffened blood vessels that prevent your heart from receiving the proper amount of blood it needs to work.

Step 2

Heart disease symptoms caused by abnormal heartbeats:

  • fluttering feeling in your chest
  • chest pain
  • shortness of breath
  • dizziness
  • fainting
  • a racing heart beat OR a slow heart beat

This type of heart desiese is considered heart arrhythmia, which is when your heart is not pumping normally. It either could be pumping too fast or too slow.

Step 3

Heart disease symptoms caused by heart defects:

  • blue colored skin
  • pale colored skin
  • swollen legs, feet or abdomen
  • shortness of breath when eating

This type of heart desiese is considered congenital heart defects, this mean, the desiese sets in when you're first born. Most congenital heart defects are not life threatening.

Step 4

Heart disease symptoms caused by thick heart muscles:

  • fatigue
  • irregular heartbeats
  • fainting
  • lightheadedness
  • swelling of ankles/feet

This type of heart desiese is considered Cardiomyopathy, which is the thickening or stiffening of the heart muscle.

Step 5

Heart disease symptoms caused by heart infections:

  • weakness and fatigue
  • changes in heart rhythm
  • persistent cough or dry cough
  • skin rashes

This type of heart desiese is considered Pericarditis, Myocarditis or Endocarditis, which are all conditions that effect the tissue and muscle of the heart.

Tips

In order to make sure you do not have heart desiese, it is suggested you get a regular check up by your doctor, especially if you're predisposed to heart desiese. There are a couple ways to help prevent heart disease. First off, Eat nutritious and healthy food. Secondly, Cut-down on dietary cholesterol consumption as well as saturated fats. Avoid smoking as well as limit your alcohol intake. Exercise and try to stay within your healthy weight range, if you are already over weight, try to lose some weight. Another thing you can do to prevent heart desiese is to avoid high level stress, as it raises blood pressure and blood cholesterol.  Lastly, try to pay attention to the labels on your food.
