Introduction

 Treatment Of Tuberculosis Like Diseases!

Tuberculosis is a type of disease that is caused by a number of mycobacteria. It is a very fatal disease and very lethal since it directly attacks the lungs and other parts of the body. It transmission is through the air that we breath. This is when one suffering from tuberculosis coughs or sneezes and we inhale the air. It can also be through exposure to saliva of an infected patient. There are various ways of treating tuberculosis diseases dependent on the stage of infection.

Treatment of the various types

General treatment of tuberculosis:

The treatment of tuberculosis diseases is done through the injection of antibiotics to kill the bacteria. The complete and very effective treatment of tuberculosis has proved challenging over the years due to the unique and unusual structure and the chemical composition of the mycobacteria cells. The structure and composition of the bacteria cell walls make the very myriad antibiotics ineffective and thus stopping the penetration of the drugs to the cells. There are two types of antibiotics that are normally used are; isoniazid and rifampicin. The treatmement is entirely done in the various stages of tuberculosis diseases infection differently.

Treating latent and active tuberculosis diseases:

This is the initial stage of tuberculosis that can be easily treated by simply using one antibiotic. While the active tuberculosis disease is treated by the combination of a number of antibiotics. This treatment by using several antibiotics is done so as to reduce the fatal risks of the bacteria becoming resistant to the antibiotic. Early and proper treatment of latent is very important because it helps prevent the patients from developing to the active tuberculosis. The active tuberculosis is the extreme and severe of the two tuberculosis diseases.

Tretment and possible vaccination

The treatment of new onset tuberculosis:

This is another type of the many tuberculosis diseases. This type of tuberculosis disease generally affects the pulmonary. It can be treated by the combination of various antibiotics that are containing rifampin and isoniazid, pyrazinamide and ethambutol that are diaginised to the patient for the first two months after screening and detection of the disease. But the use of antibiotics that contain only contain isoniazid is recommended for the last four month of the required six month of treatment. If the bacteria shows any sign of resistance, then the use of ethambutol antibiotic is required so as to allow the penetration of the antibiotic to the bacteria and kill it. The use of ethambutol should take place for four months.

Treatment of recurrent tuberculosis diseases:

In a number of cases, the treatment of tuberculosis diseases may not be very effective and at times may end up reoccurring to the patient. This is due to the many factors of either the resistance of the bacteria or other medical factors. If the recurrence takes place, the patient should be re-tested and the determination of the sensitivity of the antibiotics so as to determine the best treatment for the tuberculosis. If the resistance is due to the use multi-drug usage, then the patient should be treated with a minimal of four effective antibiotics for up to 24 months.

Vaccination of tuberculosis diseases:

Over the years, medical researchers have been able to come up with a vaccination called Bacillus Calmette-Guérin it can be used to prevent a potential infection of the tuberculosis diseases. It helps in the protection against pulmonary disease infection of the tuberculosis. The immunity of the vaccine however reduces after a ten year span.
