There are many instances when one falls prey to fungal diseases because of a lack of care or other environmental factors that affect ones immunity. Some examples of superficial infections include ring worm, jock itch, and athlete’s foot and yeast infections. They can usually be identified by certain marks on your skin and should instantly be treated when spotted.


There can be a number of reasons as to why a person gets infected by fungal diseases. The primary reason is that the person has a weak immune system which cannot fight back minor infections as these. The immune system may become weak because of diseases such as diabetes, kidney failure, AIDS as well as lung diseases. One way to cure fungal diseases is to apply ointments and creams to the infected areas so as to get rid of the fungus. In more severe cases, however, the patient might have to take oral medicines so that the infection can be gotten rid of and the blood purified. In some instances, the patient might even have to be injected with anti biotic to solve the problem. There are some home based remedies for fungal diseases as well which can come in handy at times. Lavender oil, pure tea oil, garlic oil and oregano oil can all be applied to a fungus affected foot. A paste made from turmeric powder and water can also be applied on the nails. Extracts such as those of oil leaf and the grapefruit seed extract are also used to treat the dead tissues in the nails. In order to avoid infections, one can take preventative measures by drinking comfrey tea and Echinacea tea in order to fight the infections in the body. Aloe Vera and rose water are also suitable options to counter fungal diseases.
