How To Match Your Suit To Your Other Clothing

Introduction

When you go to a special event, you will need suit clothing. If you want to be admired, you must match all your clothes according to the situation because you can not go to a funeral dressed in red or attend a wedding dressed for a funeral.

Step 1

Your suit needs to match your other clothing because any additional color can ruin your entire look. If you want to be perfectly assorted, you must match your suit clothing with your shirt, shoes, tie, belt, and overcoat. The shirt is the first item that you need to match with the suit. With a dark color suit it is recommended to wear a light color shirt, for example you can wear a white shirt with a black suit. The black suit with a white shirt can be used in any situation. If you want to be different, you can wear a black suit with a dark blue shirt.

Step 2

When you wear suit clothing, you will need a tie. Many people think the tie is not important and they do not wear it, but, if you go to a special event, you will have to wear a tie. If you do not wear it, you will be labeled as poorly dressed. The tie color must match the suit color. So, if you have a dark suit and a white shirt, you will need a dark color tie.

Step 3

The belt is also an important feature. To match your belt with the suit clothing, you need to know a couple of things. The belt must not be very big or too small. Always choose a belt with a classic design and never use a belt with a big buckle. Never use a plastic or a fabric belt when you wear a suit. The belt material must be leather or any material that mimics leather.

Step 4

Some special events take place outdoors. If you need to go to such a special event, you will need an overcoat. If you want to match your overcoat with the rest of the suit clothing, there are some things you need to know. It is best to wear a dark overcoat regardless of the suit color. The overcoat must be made from the same material as the suit. You can also wear a leather overcoat.

Step 5

The shoes are other important items when you wear suit clothing. They can have many shapes and colors. You can wear only leather or fabric shoes (only if you do not like to wear leather or you want to prove a point) and they got to have the same color as the suit. You can also match the shoes color with the belt or shirt color, but this way you can make mistakes and look like a Christmas tree.

Tips

The socks are often overlooked, but they are very important. Never wear white socks with any kind of suit. You can match your socks color with the suit clothing, but always use dark colors and never white if you are going to a special event.

In conclusion, if you want to attend a special event and look good, do not try to reinvent the fashion. Wear classical suit clothing, respect the basic rules and you will be alright.
