Sean John Clothing is a clothing line by hip hop mogul P. Diddy also known as Puff Daddy or Sean Combs. After successfully starting his own record label Bad Boys entertainment and a successful restaurant chain Sean John clothing is another one of Comb’s successful business ventures. The line markets clothing, footwear, accessories and fragrances for both men and women. The success of the clothing John can largely be attributed to P. Diddy himself who is a major player on the hip hop music scene and is a brand in his own right. Thousands of fans flock to buy the clothes every year. Clothing John includes sportswear as well.
History
The company was founded in 1998, when Sean Combs was big on the hip hop music scene. The clothing line has been nominated for excellence in design five times in succession since the year 2000. Sean Combs has also been awarded the CFDA Men's Designer of the Year award in 2004 when he beat out designers like Michael Kors and Ralph Lauren. In November 2008 Sean John launched his first men’s perfume and named it ‘I Am King’. Even though the line has been center of media controversy because of alleged sweatshop labor use, clothing John is still going strong.

Clothing John being the brainchild of a hip hop mogul has a lot of hip hop influence on it. Initially when the line was debuted in 1998 most of the clothing pieces it had were meant for street wear. Clothing John also launched one of the most successful men’s perfumes ever Unforgivable. They did this in collaboration with the Estée Lauder Companies. Unforgivable is one of the highest selling perfumes in America in 2007 and is still in the best perfumes category. Street wear however is still Sean John clothing’s pride and strength. The wide varieties of clothes available provide one with a wardrobe full of polo shirts and hot t-shirts of exuberant color, elegant style and designs. The wide range of casual and formal, trousers and jeans makes the list bigger. The fashion accessories section includes things like hats, wallets, glasses, shoes and handbags.
