Introduction

Back pain is definitely one of the most common medical conditions. Many people around the world have been diagnosed with this conditions and the number is still on the increase as time goes. The good news is that, this condition can be resolved by surgery back. On the other hand the bad news is that this condition can be among the most frustrating and difficult for not only patients but also their doctors. When left untreated, back pain can be a life threatening condition. It is usually caused by ruptured intervertebral disc (herniated disc), lumbar muscle strain, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, lumbar spine arthritis, Osteoporosis and discogenic back pain. For the fact that spinal cord very complicated, correcting it becomes a challenging task for both doctors and surgeons. The correction is known as surgery back pain. Surgery back pain is only conducted when a patient has been diagnosed with the condition. The symptoms are usually; persistent back pain for several days, back pain awakens at night, difficulty in controlling bladder and bowel and unusual infection symptoms such as sweat and chills.

In most serious back pain instances and when it does not show any response to other therapies, surgery back pain comes in handy. Such a surgical procedure includes Spinal fusion. This comes about when there is need to remove the whole vertebral disc. It basically involves uniting the vertebrae with bone grafts that are strategically fitted for the provision of required support including other substances that may aid healing. In some cases, metal works are also used to provide further support for the healing bone. Recovery for this type of surgery back pain can vary depending on some factors the most common being the age of the patient. It however resolves in about six weeks to twelve moths.

The other common surgery back pain is the discectomy. Surgery through this procedure can involve partial removal of the disc or sometimes its entire removal. To some extent, this procedure has turned out very successful, though it would be good patients to comprehend that no surgeon can guarantee all fragments will get to their places. What happens when these structures are removed is that irritation to nerves, pressure and blood supply gets relieved.

Laminectomy is another procedure that is performed to correct back pain. It basically targets to relieve pressure on both the spinal cord and the nerves.
