History

These resorts opened on the same day that the Magic Kingdom officially opened to the public, October 1, 1971. The Wilderness homes are also affordable options for those that are looking for somewhere to stay on a budget. Here, you will feel like you are staying in the great outdoors and may even see some wildlife, such as rabbits and peacocks, outside of your unit. The Wilderness homes are also bigger than your average hotel room. They include a small kitchen, seperate bedroom, bathroom, and living room with murphy bed or pull-out sofa.
