What You Need For Babies Birthday Parties

So your little baby is about to have his/her first birthday and you’ve never thrown a baby birthday party. What to do? It’s all ok because there are plenty of places that will help you through the process. Babies birthday parties are really special for the parents as it means that their little bundle-of-joy is getting bigger and getting close to joining the big world of “toddlerhood”. As is obvious to most people the babies birthday parties are not really that special for the one year old baby. The poor baby has hardly any idea what is going; but for the parents it is a proud moment.

History

If you have already had children before who are now older you will probably already have some ideas about how to go about arranging babies birthday parties. The first thing you will have to decide is who to invite and what to put on the invitation cards. Since, the birthday is celebrating your baby, it not a bad idea to include a cute picture of your baby on the invitation card. It is fairly easy to make the invitation cards yourself either by hand or using Microsoft Publisher on your PC. It’s also good to throw in few cartoons or fairy tale characters which children like. Now to the question of who to invite? If you baby has just turned one or two years old he/she will probably get easily overwhelmed if there is too many people around all of a sudden. Therefore, it’s better to keep the size of the babies birthday parties down to a minimum. Infants need to sleep every few hours and so try to schedule the party when your little one will have just finished his/her siesta. If the baby misses the normal routine of nap times he/she might get cranky and be a bit of a party-pooper.

Features

The next thing to consider for babies birthday parties is the decorations. It’s good to make the house look like it’s a party for the guests. You can hang up happy birthday cartoons and also photos of your birthday baby as well. As far as tablecloths go it’s quite the tradition to use the red-and-white chequered cloth. You can’t have a birthday party without the red-and-white tablecloth. Even though your baby will be too young to understand it can be fun to have a theme to the party. Such as Dr. Seuss, Tom & Jerry, Dora the Explorer or any other popular children’s characters in cartoons and fairytales. Your friends who may have older children will enjoy such a theme.

Tips and comments

It important also to have plenty of toys to keep the children who will be coming to the birthday occupied. You don’t want to them to fight over toys. If you are able to manage it then face-painting is always very popular with children. Face-painting can be tied in with the theme of the party. So that the faces drawn on the children’s face are characters from the cartoon of the theme you have chosen.
