Let’s start with the all time favorite PIN THE TAIL ON THE DONKEY!! For those unaware, although that is highly improbable, this game is all about tying a blindfold around the player’s eyes and getting all his team mates to guide him to pinning the tail on the right spot of the donkey’s picture. It’s one of the oldest and most famous birthday party games. You might even find some drunk adults playing this game in bars. There are other versions of this game like Pin the heart on the tinman, Pin the tail on the T-Rex, Pin the tail on Pikachu and so on. So we need more games to play at birthday parties. Let’s add Apple Bobbing if your kids like more of a challenge. This game involves you tying both of the kid’s hands behind their backs and they have to try to get the apples that are floating in a bowl full of water by biting on them and without eating the apples. Your kids are definitely going to spill water here so make sure you have a towel or something soaking the floor if you don’t want to get your carpet wet.

How Low Can YOU GO!!! Yes our next game is the LIMBO. Always fun for kids of all ages! Get two kids or a door post to hold a bar and get other kids to go under the bar, facing forward and leaning backwards. You can always play a little limbo music in the background to make the environment more fun. Lower the bar to disqualify players and make the game tougher. Still need more games to play at birthday parties? Bring in the old musical chairs. Every kid hates to be the one left standing at the end of the music. Just set up chairs in a line facing opposite sides alternately and all the kids have to walk around the chairs in a line while the music is playing till the music stop. Once the music stops all the kids must find a chair to sit in. At the end of each stop one kid must be left standing who gets disqualified. Remove a chair every time a player is disqualified.

Tips and comments

You can always come up with games to play at birthday parties according to the ages. Like 12 year old boys would rather spend the party playing video games than musical chairs or 13 year old girls would want a sleepover with everyone just talking and playing games with makeup kits.
