Introduction

If you have decided you want to learn the guitar, you will have to know that things are not as easy as they sound. The hardware is rather simple: a guitar rock bought from the authorized dealers and an object to pinch the chords. Sure you can pinch the chords with your fingers, but for beginners, it is difficult to play the guitar rock this way.

Step 1

You might find it surprising, but even advanced singers don't have any connection with this instrument, and they are not able to tell the difference between the different types of guitars. Therefore, let's determine the basic types of guitar rock: the acoustic guitar that is recognized through the presence of the resonance box, and the electrical one.

Step 2

The acoustic guitar rock can have plastic chords, and in this case, it is a classical model, but there are also the western guitars with chords made of steel.

Step 3

The electrical guitar rock can capture the sound with some microphones called doses, and then the sound is transmitted to the sound system with a simple setup. For beginners, it is strongly recommended to learn the guitar rock with an acoustic guitar, as the sounds are clearer and the trainee can easily correct the eventual mistakes. However, you can also start the lessons with a simple electric guitar with a simple setup (without effects and amplification).

Step 4

However, maybe the most important characteristic needed for a trainee is patience. Just because you have bought the guitar rock doesn't make you the next star on the international scenes. For the first tries, you will surely be disappointed, and the will is needed because your fingers might hurt occasionally and you might be tempted to quit. Generally, it is better to practice 15 minutes a day instead of practicing one hour every week.

Step 5

For the first guitar rock lessons, you will need to learn the names of the chords, how to hold the guitar with your hands, and what songs are mostly suited for the beginners. Of course, you will also need some basic knowledge of music theory, even if the majority of famous guitar rock stars don't have the slightest idea about musical notes. From this point of view, there are two methods of learning the guitar rock. The first one is the one called "by ear", in which the trainee only tries to imitate the sounds he hears, and there is the advanced method used by guitar teachers using the musical notes.

Tips

The acoustic guitar rock must be accorded considering the preferences of the user, and there are two methods to do so. The first one is by using a special according device that can be bought from music stores, and the second one is to compare the sounds, but this one is only suited for the people that are able to compare the sounds.

If you use this method, you will have to use the upper chord as reference and to adjust the sounds of the rest of the chords accordingly.
