Ingredients

Making your own home natural cleaners is easier than most people think. Many people already have the ingredients in their home. The ingredients needed are:

  • Apple Cider Vinegar
  • Baking Soda
  • Choice of Essential Oil (Lemon is great for smell and it is also an antibacterial. Tea Tree has a wonderful smell and it is antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal).
  • Large spray bottle
  • Warm water
  • Funnel to pour ingredients through

Step 1

The first thing that needs to be done is to gather the supplies. It is best to put all of the supplies on a counter near the sink so you can them when you need them. The first thing is to pour in the apple cider vinegar. You will need about 1/4 of a cup to every quart of water. Pour the apple cider vinegar in first and slowly add the water. Only fill the water bottle up half way. You will add the rest of the water later, but adding it all at once could cause it to over flow. I know this step sounds a little confusing, but once you do it you will see how it fizzes up. Just remember this is one of the first steps in keeping your home natural.

Step 2

The next thing you are going to add is the baking soda. It is best to just add 1 tablespoon and slowly through the funnel. It will fizz up quite a bit, but that is a good thing it means that your apple cider vinegar is pure and doesn't have any added chemicals into it. Remember making your own home cleaner means you want to keep your home natural and making your own is easy but try to buy pure ingredients.

Step 3

Next, you are going to add the oils in. Whatever oil that you choose will be fine, just add in 5-7 drops. You can get creative with the oils. Depending on what your family's health issues are or sensitivities are you can choose that way. You can also alternate between the oils. Get creative in keeping your home natural. There are several different oils and you will want to make sure that none of your family has some kind of sensitivity to it, because it can take a while to air out the home once you have cleaned with it.

Step 4

The last thing to do is to in making your home natural based cleaner is add the rest of the water. You will want to add the water very slowly. It will start to fizz up and do it for a few minutes. Once the water is added in then you can put the lid back on. Once you put the lid back on let it sit for a few minutes. Usually 10-15 minutes would be enough time for the ingredients to blend well.

Step 5

The last step really isn't a step. You get to clean with it. Embrace the smell and use it daily. Keeping your home natural with your new home made cleaner is a great way to keep your family healthy and your home safe from toxic chemicals and ingredients. Your new home natural cleaner can be used for counter tops, sinks, stoves, tub, and even mopping.

Tips

Some things you will want to remember about your home natural cleaner are:

  • Use oils that you or your family won't react to.
  • You can use it daily.
  • Get creative with your oils that you choose.
  • You can use it as much as you like.
