In order to find a charity walk for cancer you must do the following:

Step 1

You must first need to know what charity for cancer you wish to support, whether it's for breast cancer, lung cancer, melanoma, leukemia, brain cancer or others. Many of us support charity walks for cancer because of personal reasons. May it be that you have experienced one and been cured. Or maybe you lost someone dear to you with that kind of cancer.

Step 2

You must gauge what are your goals aside from supporting the charity. Would it be to be there for fun or went along with friends? Or, you enter because it is an opportunity to exercise. If you were there for fun, then choose a charity walk for cancer event that is much shorter like just a mile or a 5K. Also some charities not only have walk for cancer events, but some organize concerts or gatherings after the walkathon. If your goal is for fitness then choose a charity walk for cancer which is much longer tracks. Here you can really make it as a form of vigorous exercise.

Step 3

You need to check how far you are capable of continuously walking. This information will help you find a charity walk for cancer that could suit your ability to walk. So before choosing you need to check first. According to a study if you decided to walk in a certain distance it should take you few minutes. For example, if you walk a mile for 15 to 20 minutes and couldn’t walk further then you should enter charity walk for cancer event which has shorter routes. If in case you walked for 10K in 75 to 90 minutes you can look for a charity walk for cancer event that has much longer routes.

Step 4

In finding a charity walk for cancer event you must also consider the preparation involving the said event. It means that if you have more time to prepare like building endurance, then you will choose a charity event that has much longer route since you still have time to be physically fit. In case you do not have the time to build endurance, choose a shorter route. Also check the places where the charity will hold its event. Choose the place that is more reasonable for you to attend.

Step 5

Lastly, you need to also check how much it will be to attend the said event. Some events are free. Most have registration fees in order for the charity to earn from fundraising activity. The reason for checking your budget is that you know what charity walks for cancer event to enter so that you don’t stretch your budget.
