Introduction

To email an attachment, you should first of all have a working email account. There are many free email service providers like Gmail and Yahoo. To make a Gmail account, visit www.gmail.com whereas if you want to use a Yahoo email account, visit www.yahoo.com and then click on the mail option to create an account. Gmail and Yahoo are the top most free email service providers but there are many others who also provide very good service.

Step 1

While opening an email account you have to provide details like your name, last name, location, date of birth and phone number. You will also have to provide another email id for security and verification of your account. You also have to select a security question and answer it for future use. In case you lose your password you can recover it through the security question.

Step 2

If you are using a web browser then to email an attachment first of all you need to login into your email account. Next you have to click on the compose email link to write an email. If you want to send a picture or any document file then you can attach such files to your email by clicking on the browse button next to the attachment box. Once you click on the browse button you can browse all the files on your hard drive to upload a file to email an attachment.

Step 3

You can attach more than one file to your email. Inside an email there can be more than 5 to 7 boxes for uploading files but every email service provider has certain limitation on total size of all the files that can be attached in an email.

Step 4

You can even email an attachment through a mobile device. To email an attachment you should use mobile browsers like UCWEB or Opera-Mini because they work just like a web browser. The process of file attachment is exactly same as that mentioned above but while using a mobile device you can upload files and email an attachment from the memory of your mobile device.

Step 5

You can also download and use mobile email application of your email service provider to email an attachment. The email application works on every high-end mobile device.

You can even email an attachment through any desktop email client. You have to download any email client like Microsoft Outlook and than you have to configure it according to your email service providers SMTP and POP port and link. You also have to activate the POP feature in the email setting of your mail box so that you can receive all your emails in your desktop email client through which you can also email an attachment in the similar way as you do through a web browser.

Tips

While emailing an attachment, you should always use zip or rar format to attach more than one file because it saves uploading time and it also helps the recipient to download one single zip or rar file which can be easily unzipped in a folder.
