How To Contact Airport Services

Published at 03/28/2012 17:01:17

Introduction

Airports are big stations for airplanes. From here airplanes go away and come back to leave the passengers or to unload their cargo. But a rather unknown aspect for any air base it the one that it can also provide airport services. The airport services term doesn’t refer only to departure and arriving of airplanes or transporting capability. Any airport in the world will provide a wider or narrow spectrum of services. What type of services, you might ask. Pre-flight services (assistance in obtaining permission for over flight and landing, client representation), Ramp airport services (such as organizing and supervising, deicing, full briefing, communication services, VIP passenger handling, crew lounge, crew bus and town transfers, refueling, cleaning, catering and so on), additional airport services (meeting or conference lounge, car and limousine rentals, hotel accommodations, tourist information, hangarage – this is equivalent to airplane parking in special garages, technical services, charter and business flights brokerage). But how can someone or how can a company obtain any of these airport services? Here are a few steps that may help you take possession of airport services.

Step 1

Step 1: Using the web site. If you use the airport’s website you might find a way to request airport services from that specific airport. Usually on the web site all types of information is available for users. This is the case also for the services section.

Step 2

Step 2: Using the Contact us button. You can easily request airport services from a specific airport by contacting them via the internet. You need to open an internet browser (Safari, Opera, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer or any other software installed on your personal computer) access the airport’s web page, hit the Contact us button, fill in the form (name, company, country, phone and e-mail and requested services fields) and get access to the services offered by that airport.

Step 3

Step 3: Calling the airport officials. Another way to request airport services is by personally calling the airport’s officials. Usually their work phone numbers are shown on the airport’s web site, but if you don’t have the access just call the information number for your country, ask for the airport’s number, and ask for the officials once you have reached the airport’s information office.

Step 4

Step 4: Emergency landing cases. In the worst case, if your airplane crashes you will be able to request directly to the airport’s officials or hired personnel specific services. If the airplane suffers more damage you will still be able to request services for future landed airplanes.

Step 5

Step 5: Go to the airport. If you do not have access to the internet or if you cannot use the phone to reach the airport, you might find fit to arrive at the airport personally. If this is the case, all you need to do is to go to the information desk or office and ask to speak with the manager (he is one of the airport’s officials). If he cannot help you, he will surely direct you to a higher authority able to provide you the information you need.

Tips

Whenever you find yourself in need of help in an airport, follow these simple steps in order to contact the airport's services.
