In making a marketing program, you need to have a goal. You need to have a reason, and end game for the program. Why are you doing this? What are you trying to achieve? Until when are you going to do this? Goals help you get to the right path and it also helps you become inspired. However, there are some goals that are too ambitious or too dream-like. This is why you have to make SMART goals. You have to set goals that are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely. Making your goal specific would help you have a concrete idea of what you really want. Making your goal measurable would help you estimate figures for your goal for it to be more doable. Making your goal attainable would definitely help you in making sky high dreams for your goals, taking you back to the ground and assessing the situation based on reality. Lastly, you need to make a timeline for your goal. Adding the timeline would help you actually achieve something and help you make improvements faster.

In making your own marketing program, you need to have a Gantt chart to keep track of your progress. You need to know when the marketing program preparation and implementation would start and when it would also end. In the corporate world, Gantt charts are very useful. Making a Gantt chart is the more convenient and most illustrative way to keep you posted about your timelines and schedules.

For you to be able to run or implement your marketing program, you need to set your budget. You need to know how much everything will cost. Setting your budget would also help you from having unnecessary overspending in implementing your program.
