Duets With Birdman And Lil Wayne

The first collaboration of Birdman Lil Wayne was in 2005. Lil Wayne is the adopted son of Birdman, a disambiguation to mean that Wayne is a protégée of Birdman, following and inspiring his career. Because of this collaboration and the relationship of a father and son, the two collaborated on several songs. Duets with Birdman and Lil Wayne were done with resounding success.

Features

The first musical collaboration between Birdman Lil Wayne was the release of the album, Father and Son, conveying the paternalistic relationship between Birdman Lil Wayne. It contained several hit songs such as “Leather So Soft” and “Stuntin’ Like My Daddy”. The next collaboration of Birdman Lil Wayne was the release of 5* Stunna in 2007. Lil Wayne was featured in hit songs such as “Pop Bottles”, “100 Million”, and “I Run This.” All songs became hits and topped the music charts. “100 Million” is a song that features several artists, among them DJ Khaled, Rick Ross, and Young Jeezy.

The Birdman Lil Wayne tandem continued in the succeeding years. In 2009, the album Priceless was recorded featuring Lil Wayne in the song, “Always Strapped.” Other songs where Wayne was featured included, “Southside”, “Money to Blow”, and “4 My Town (Play Ball)." This was in 2009 and also marked the release of the album in the UK.

Two other songs followed, namely, “Fire Flame” and “I Get Money.” Birdman not only rapped with Lil Wayne. He also used other artists in the music industry such as T-Pain and Mack Maine. Future plans are on the table for a sequel to the successful Father and Son album sometime in 2012.

Both Birdman Lil Wayne are successful in their respective careers and even private ventures. Birdman is not only the founder of Cash Records, he even dabbled in business in the form of exploring or tapping oil. At the moment though, this venture on hold. Lil Wayne also achieved the same rate of success, recording and selling more than 3 million copies of Tha Carter III album alone. He was clearly a successful rapper, with a 2010 Grammy Award for Best Rap Album under his belt.
