Introduction

The black bird is a species of true thrush. It breeds in Asia and Europe. These birds to some extent can be partially migratory or completely/fully migratory. This specie breeds in the woods and gardens. They build a neat cup shaped nest for themselves and have a loud melodious sound. The young ones are fed till three weeks and after that the parents leave the nest, the young ones follow them begging for food. If the female bird makes a new nest then the male bird has to take the responsibility of feeding the young ones. This bird is completely black except for the yellow eye-ring and its beak.

History

In some areas this bird is confused with the Ring Ouzel or a superficially European Starling. In our society the main problem for these birds is the cat. Yes the cats feed on these birds, other than that foxes and other predatory birds like the sparrow hawk also take this species when an opportunity arises. These animals are not the only danger that these birds have to face, these birds spend most of their time looking for food on the ground, through which external parasites stick with their heads along with few are already in their body.In some areas this bird is confused with the Ring Ouzel or a superficially European Starling. Tips and comments

It is suggested not to keep this bird as a pet, because they like to migrate and move to new places and their original place is the parks and roadsides. They would not like it if you trap them into your house. But what is interesting is that unlike some creatures, the color black of these birds are not considered as bad luck in any part of the world. This bird is the national bird of Sweden which has a breeding population of about 1-2 million pairs.
