How To Find Programs on Windows

Introduction

All current computers running the Microsoft Windows operating system is running Windows 7. Windows 7 is the successor of the previous version of Microsoft Windows, Windows Vista. Many people found complaints with Windows Vista and the Microsoft Team began to make the current version of Windows. Windows 7 was officially released on the 22nd of October in 2009. Windows 7 has a ton of new features, such a new taskbar, where your open programs are located, a new home networking system that allows you to add your own networking groups, mult-gesturing with the mouse and touchpad for desktops, laptops and notebooks that allow you to make a gesture on the mouse or touchpad to scroll a page automatically or do close a program with just a simple motion with your hand.

Windows 7 includes the popular Windows Movie Maker, where you can make your own personal movies and presentations and Windows Media Center, that allows you to record, pause and play live TV and other exciting features. If you are a novice to Windows 7 and you do not know how to find programs to windows, you will learn how to find programs to windows and you can use these methods, so you can find programs to windows much faster and much easier than before. Programs to windows are located in multiple places and many users are confused about where they are located on their computer.

Step 1

Go to the "Start" menu on your computer. The "Start" menu is where most of your programs to windows are. Most of the programs are in the "Start" menu, but most of them are somewhere else. Windows 7 and other versions of Windows have a little search bar located at the bottom of the screen once you press "Start" on your computer keyboard. Type in the programs to windows you want to find and then when you are finished, press the "Enter" button.

Step 2

Wait for the programs to windows search results. The results will take a few minutes to complete, depending on how many programs you have and how you typed in the program name. Sometimes when you search for program to windows, irrelevant program or files appear. If this happens, you can use another way to find programs to windows.

Step 3

Press "Start" on the keyboard you are using again. Look for something that says, "All Programs." Most of your programs are located here. Some of your program folders are here.

Step 4

Press "All Programs" and then scroll down to see if you can find the programs to windows that you want to access. If you do not see the program file you want, it may be located in the main "program files" folder on your computer.

Step 5

Press "Start" one more time and then click on "Computer." Double-click on your hard disk. Your hard disk should be a letter, which is usually "C:" Double-click your hard disk to access a series of folders.

Step 6

Go down the list of folders until you see a folder called "Program Files." This is where all of your programs to windows are located. The program you want to find is located here.
