Introduction

Despite the advancement in the computer arena there are still some of us who sometimes have trouble checking our network connection. There are times as well when we are not aware of our network capacity and speed.

Step 1

Network connection has been a perennial problem of almost all Internet users. Despite the promise of your Internet provider of high speed and high performance Internet connection, it is just not the case. If this happens to you, you dont have to panic, well not yet. Go local and check your cable connections. Make sure that everything is plugged accordingly. Sometimes, the problem is as simple as unplugged network connection.

Step 2

Another simple step that you can do and check to make sure your network connection up and running is to check if your PC is connecting to the right AP. There are times that problems lie in this particular are especially if you forgot your password and the likes. Make sure everything is in place. If everything else is perfectly fine with your local connections then it is time to check for your Internet connection.

To check for Internet connection, unplug your cable or modem for 30 seconds to one minute and then try to plug in again. If this doesnt work still, then it is time to call your provider. Before calling your provider you should have done this because they will be asking you to the same thing. So to save time and energy on your part, you should have done all the connection checks.

There are tons of reasons why you can't have the speed that was promised to you or to the very least the connection. Also, these are things that you can't do anything about except your Internet provider or network technician. Slow Internet connection can be because of interference, overburdened network hardware or simply a bad connection.

It is also a good step to take to test for your Internet speed. This is really very important. By testing for your Internet speed you will be able to know if you are getting the right service that you are paying for. Most of the time Internet providers overpromise and deliver less. It is all about marketing strategy. There are websites like speedtest.net that can help you test the speed of your Internet connection. This will give you the idea if you have to keep your provider or if you need to look for a new one.

Aside from the steps mentioned to test for network connection, there are other ways that you can do to get the best network connection to avoid serious problems like what you are having now.
