Testing AIDS are utilized to identify the presence of HIV or human immunodeficiency virus. This virus causes AIDS or acquired immunodeficiency syndrome in saliva, urine or serum.   • Antigen Test. This test is very useful in diagnosing HIV infection cases. It is not as common as the antibody test, but it is still very effective. This testing AIDS requires blood sample from the tested patient.

Should I get an HIV/AIDS test?

There are behaviors that can increase the risks of obtaining such medical ailments. You should certainly consult a doctor and have yourself examined if you have done some of these activities:

  • Injected steroids or drugs and shared needles or syringes with others.
  • Having unprotected anal, oral or vaginal sex with multiple partners, same gender or unknown partners.
  • Have done unprotected sex with someone that has done the other activities that could increase the chances of getting AIDS.

Rapid HIV Testing:

Rapid HIV testing is the fastest way to identify if the patient has AIDS or HIV. Conventional HIV testing procedures such as ELISA would take a week or two before you could get the results. You can get the results for the Rapid HIV testing in 20 minutes only after the conducted examination. This examination is as accurate as the ELISA.

There are several ways to have yourself tested for such medical ailment for free. There are numerous government organizations, agencies, NGOs who offer free testing AIDS or HIV. There are also several companies and websites in the internet that would provide free screenings to those individuals.
