Muscle Diseases, Disorders and Symptoms

What Are Some Diseases Muscular?

Let us discuss the muscular diseases and disorders mentioned above. These are just some of the diseases that affect people all over the world.

1.) Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Unlike the normal feeling of fatigue, this condition does not improve with sleep and rest. It worsens without any physical or even mental activity. This type of disorder is said to have no known cause, though it may be associated to a previous infection.

If you have chronic fatigue for more than six months, you may have acquired chronic fatigue syndrome. Its symptoms may also include significant problems with short-term memory, sore throat, muscle pain, headaches that are in different pattern, feeling tired even after sleeping and pain in several joints without swelling or redness.

2.) Muscular Dystrophy

This is known to be a group of inherited muscle diseases. In this type of muscle disease, the muscle fibers in the body stay at risk of damage. Voluntary muscles tend to be vulnerable to get affected by this condition; some types of this group affect the heart and other involuntary muscles. The usual symptoms are: muscle weakness, crippling and loss of coordination or balance.

3.) Compartment Syndrome

This is one of the most common neuromuscular diseases. It is known to be an exercise-induced, and affects the muscles of the limbs. This is most common in athletes. Main symptoms include:

• Pain in the affected limb

• Weakness in the affected area and sometimes worsen with swelling

4.) Fibromyalgia

This is more common in women than in men. This is a disease characterized by a variety of musculoskeletal pain associated with memory and mood issues; sleep and fatigue. It develops painful sensations and affects the way of the brain’s processing of pain signals.

Symptoms begin after a physical trauma, surgery, or psychological stress. Its symptoms include; fatigue, sleep difficulties, morning stiffness, muscle cramping and weakness, aches and pains all over the body, itchy and burning skin, headaches and/ or digestive disorders.

Muscular Diseases Prevention

The body has nearly over 600 skeletal muscles. It won’t be surprising if sometimes things go wrong. Preventing muscular diseases and disorders is relatively easy. Here are some prevention tips to avoid muscle diseases and disorders:

• Ward off muscle cramps by avoiding overusing the muscles. Drink lots of water and stay hydrated to prevent muscle cramping.

• Proper ways of exercising are needed. Do strength training at least two to three times a week to avoid straining the muscles.

• Maintain a healthy weight. Overweight people are most likely to become prone with muscle disorders and diseases as their body would have difficulties supporting their weights.
