Remedies For Damaged Hair

Knowledge of effective hair remedies helps one to maintain one's hair in prime condition. A lot of factors contribute to hair damage and hair loss. Some of these factors include frequent straightening or curling of the hair. Exposure to direct sunlight or freezing temperatures for extended periods of time also causes damaged hair. Damaged hair leads to the weakening of hair roots and ultimately causes hair loss. Hair loss is extremely difficult to reverse and often requires expensive hair transplant surgeries. Thus, it is important to treat damaged hair in time.

The mayonnaise treatment is the most popular of all hair remedies. It is also one of the easiest. Apply a couple of heaped tablespoons of mayonnaise onto your hair andndash. make sure to massage some of it onto your scalp too. Leave it there for thirty to forty minutes. It is a good idea to wear a shower cap to prevent the mayonnaise from dripping all over the floor. Wash with lukewarm water and gently dry your hair with a towel.

Choose any hair oil that you are comfortable with. Coconut oil, olive oil, almond oil, and wheat germ oil are all good choices. Apply the oil to your hair and leave it on for a couple of hours. This allows the essential nutrients of the oil to be absorbed by the follicles.

Eggs have two essential components. The whites are full of protein while the yolk contains essential fats. This makes eggs the perfect solution for damaged hair. Whisk the eggs and apply with the help of a brush. Leave on for a half an hour and wash with cold water. Do not use warm or hot water to wash your hair as this will cause the eggs to cook and bits of egg will get strangled in your hair. Eggs are among the best hair remedies as they are cheap as well as effective.

Garlic may seem to be a strange remedy for damaged hair, but it is in fact used in several hair conditioners and shampoos. Massaging garlic onto your hair and scalp will cause a bit of irritation as garlic is ultimately quite pungent. But this also increases flow of oxygenated blood to your scalp. This detoxifies the whole area and rejuvenates the cycle of hair growth.

Mix aloe gel with cream and apply onto the hair. Repeating this procedure twice every week will have an amazing effect on the appearance and quality of your hair. Your hair will regain its luster and that elusive bouncy, buoyant look that you have always dreamt of. Aloe is widely used in countless skin and hair care products and its benefits are legendary. This puts aloe into the category of the finest hair remedies known to man.

Natural hair remedies are always preferable to artificial hair remedies as artificial remedies often involve the use of certain toxic chemicals (like sodium laurel sulfate). Eating fish, abstaining from cigarettes, and the regular intake of essential vitamins are a few other ways to ensure that your hair stays healthy and looks radiant.
