Review Of Windows Xp Professional

Introduction

Windows XP professional is a very good operating system released by Microsoft at the perfect time. Previous operating systems like Windows 98 or Windows Millennium had a lot of problems with, the shut down screen that kept freezing and the entire system that froze about every 2 seconds. When Windows XP professional was released it had lots of improvements and many things changed since the earlier versions.

Windows XP Professional is very easy to install because when you run the setup you just have to follow some easy steps and the installation will be successful.

There are a lot of changes in Windows XP professional especially when it comes to looks. Windows XP professional has great, clean looks but it kept all the good things from previous versions. The Start button has been modified but everything else is pretty much unchanged. Windows XP professional has improved looks, with great color schemes and polished icons.

Of course, the requirements are a little bigger for Windows XP professional than other operating systems. Even if Windows XP professional has bigger requirements, then previous versions of Windows, they are very easy to reach with today's computers. If you want to run Windows XP professional on your computer you will need a configuration that will include a Pentium processor at 300MHz, 64MB of RAM and 1.5 GB disk space. These requirements are very easy to reach but even for the latest technology Windows XP professional has great support.

You can install Windows XP professional on almost any computer and you will also have support for both FAT32 and NTFS filing systems. This operating system also has great multimedia support, you can print images, listen to music, view movies and you can also print and edit documents.
One strong feature of this operating system is stability. Microsoft did a great job when it designed this operating system. This is by far the most reliable operating system Microsoft created in a long time. After Microsoft did a great job with Windows XP professional they made a step back when they created Windows Vista but they are now back on track with the new and improved Windows 7.

Another good thing about Windows XP professional is that it has an auto update feature that will allow you to stay up to date with all the security threats and other important updates. Because Windows is the most used operating system in the world there are a lot of threats like viruses, malware and adware that will greatly decrease your computers performance. Because Windows XP professional has an automated update system is a lot safer then all previous Windows versions.

Conclusion

If you just don't like Microsoft and you are more of a Linux fan, you should at least try this operating system because it is a lot more stable then other. Windows XP professional has also a great driver database and you will find drivers for any type of hardware. Overall, Windows XP professional is a good stable operating system that will cover all of the user needs.
